Many Christians spend the majority of their prayer time talking either at or to God, but prayer can be much more than that. Contemplative prayer is talking with and listening to God. Contemplative prayer calls for more silence, solitude, and reflection than other ways of praying do.
Something just feels good about the 25 acres of Ozark woodland that is Mystic Trace Retreat Center. Maybe it’s the many old but still-used traces that crisscross the property; the centuries old oaks, quiet cedar glades, resplendent prairie grasses, refreshing spring-fed creeks, and open meadows; or the white-tailed deer and wild turkeys that make the land their home. Most certainly it is the presence of the great Creator and the loving, eternal I AM.
